Spiritual Partnership

I've almost finished reading a book by the same name, written by Gary Zukav. I believe, almost certainly, that this book has come my way to enlighten me. Its telling me how I can progress, showing me the way.

Now the practice of the concept is all thats needed. To progress, I need to remain aware of my feelings in every action/event. When I feel less powerful, hurt, or drained, I know now that I need to stop the outward flow of energy. I can do this by simply acknowledging the truth, speaking honestly, and letting go of irrational fear.

From The Celestine Insights, and Seat of the Soul short stories, to this. With all the added information, it all fits in the picture. I love life for bringing this to me.

If you don't mind my pointing out - why is it that you read these books? Why does one want to be told what to do, what to think and so on? Why not be a light to yourself? These books, like so many spiritual gurus are mushrooming these days. One needs to be very careful and doubt everything that one reads or hears. But its not possible if inwardly you have this demand to fulfill, to attain some kind of ultimate spiritual bliss.

Why is the idea of progressing so strong? We follow anybody who offers spiritual progress because it is a gratifying idea to know that you have evolved - that you are not just another mediocre human being. But is there such a thing as evolution of the psyche at all? Or is it just a modified continuity of the same self in another form?

Doubt is very cleansing and one should doubt everything created by man.
