what is worship

To think of someone

Offer them respect 

Take shelter of them

Emulate them

Please them

Pay obseisances

Obey them

Consider them to be Great

To make sacrifices for them

To love and adore them

To tell others about them

We may be subconsciously worshiping ghosts or the false ego in this way. We certainly worship our own child in many ways, putting them in the center of our life.
