intolerable atrocities of false ego

When the false ego's atrocious selfishness and cruelty become unbearable, then bhumi and Brahma within approach Kshirodakshayi Vishnu and beg for help. Krishna then appears within the heart of the devotee and kills one demoniac tendency after another. After a beautiful time in Vrindavan, killing demons there, Krishna moves on to Mathura and Dwarka, killing more miscreants and finishing off a major population of demons through a war. All these pastimes will take place in my heart for sure, if only I could surrender and beg for protection against the false ego. It will surely mislead me into being sinful. And how can I desist without surrender to Krishna? I may take shelter of other things, the choice is mine, but those options will only result in a worse future. May I have the intelligence to surrender to You and follow Your guidance instead of obeying the dictations of my mind and ego and eventually Kali and Maya.
