sense enjoyment hardens heart

The more i fulfill my desires the prouder it makes me, the crueler I become, and the harder my heart becomes. If I don't give up the desire for material enjoyment, I cannot do proper sadhana by waking early. I will oversleep due to overeating. I can't practice bhakti if I'm indulging my senses. If I continue like this, soon I will lose all devotion and just some fanatical remanants will be there. I must strive to be soft hearted. I must give up the desire for material enjoyment. I've been eating milk bread for lifetimes and it has just never been enough. More and more lifetimes of eating milk bread is not going to satisfy me.
